[Hong Kong, 20 July 2023] A delegation of professors from Central China Normal University (CCNU) recently visited The Education University of Hong Kong to exchange ideas and knowledge with the Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology (LTTC) and the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology (MIT). The visit aims to foster collaboration, share best practices and explore opportunities for future partnerships.
The delegation was led Professor Wu Di, the Director of Hubei Research Center for Educational informatization, Deputy Director of Educational Informatization Strategy Research Base, Ministry of Education, and Deputy Director of National Engineering Research Center for E-Learning, and accompanied by Professor Wu Longkai, Professor Xu Jian, and Ms Zhang Daixi from the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence in Education, CCNU.
The delegation visited the Metaverse Education Lab.
The visit was organized by LTTC and MIT as part of their ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships with other higher education institutions and enhance digital competency. During the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to tour EdUHK’s future classrooms, AI Education Lab, VR Cave, STEM Innovation Hub, Metaverse Education Lab, and Mobile Computer Lab. They also met with faculty members of EdUHK and engaged in discussions on various topics related to learning and teaching, as well as research on AI.
Two EdUHK students of Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Artificial Intelligence and Educational Technology showcased their AI and programming projects to the delegatio.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to visit The Education University of Hong Kong and interact with the faculty members and students,” said by Professor Wu Di. “The exchange of ideas and knowledge has been invaluable, and we look forward to exploring opportunities for future collaboration with our counterparts at EdUHK,” added by Professor Wu Longkai. Dr Cheng Kwok Shing Gary, Executive Co-Director of LTTC commended the visit and stated “We look forward to working with CCNU on AI initiatives and beyond.”
